Uses of NFTs in music, audiovisual arts and entertainment culture. The guarantee of authorship and ownership of intellectual rights.

NFTs serve to demonstrate who created a work, if it is authentic, and if it is indeed unique.
Authenticity, ownership and rarity
NFTs are in some way a “visualization” of an asset enrolled in the blockchain. Most NFTs have a face, an illustration, an aesthetic, a character – a certain image that represents them. That is why NFTs are ironically and disparagingly referred to as «jpgs».
But the difference between an NFT and a jpg is that the NFT also incorporates a series of security and authenticity measures that are key in the art world. The cryptographic hash can determine when a work of crypto art was created and by whom. Therefore, it can prove its authenticity. Furthermore, the fact that they are NFTs ensures their rarity or scarcity (whether it is a unique, limited or personalized work) and makes it explicit that it is an indivisible and irreplaceable work.
Almost naturally, their first resonant use was in the world of digital art. Digital collages, 3D modeling and animations, paintings with 8-bit aesthetics and collections of illustrated characters gave the first big push to the NFT world. An emblematic case was that of Beeple, the digital artist who managed to sell the NFT collage Everydays: The First 5,000 Days for $69 million.
The crypto community pretty much agrees that 2022 will be the year of music NFTs. This trend started a long time ago, and among other local artists, Bizarrap and Babasónico have released their own non-fungible collections through the Enigma.art platform, with the support of YAGECOIN.
Marketplaces, the new art markets

Online stores to buy NFTs with cryptocurrencies. Scarcity, authenticity and ownership assured when purchasing NFTs on marketplaces. The Enigma.art case.

As more cultural and creative industries make their slow but steady landing in the NFT world, marketplaces are becoming an increasingly interesting place for the trade of artistic production.
In all examples, it is key that NFTs protect the authenticity of the work and ensure its scarcity, but in the case of artistic and intellectual creations there is another fundamental aspect: NFTs allow the identification and registration of both authorship and ownership or possession of rights over a work.

NFT marketplaces are digital stores protected with blockchain security, where cryptocurrencies are traded.
In music this means that you can sell a video clip as an NFT, of course, but at the same time you can also sell your copyright on a song or even the performance rights of a lyric, or you can allow the use of a keyboard track to a play or rent a vocal track for a commercial.
All of this can be traded directly from marketplaces such as Enigma.art, which are digital stores where artists and NFT creators can publish their artistic works, try to disseminate them and, if necessary, sell them.
In addition, NFT marketplaces are a friendly territory for other types of non-fungible tokens that are super important for the future of cultural industries, such as digital merchandising or concert tickets with blockchain tracing.
Not to mention that the metaverse, in which NFTs are part of the interface, is a new terrain to conquer for all types of artists.

Musicians like Babasónico, Bizarrap or Soda Stereo and artists like Marcos López are already on Enigma.art.
The Enigma.art case
With its simple interface and its specialization in creative works, this Argentinian marketplace is a clear example of the trend. At Enigma.art it is clear that despite all the technology that works behind NFTs, operating with them is easy and fast.
A marketplace for musical, collectible or crypto art NFTs is no different from a catalog of any type of digital store. The difference, in any case, is that what is traded are blockchain assets and that the transactions are carried out with cryptocurrencies.
At Enigma.art you can now find NFT collections ranging from Soda Stereo, the emblematic band of Latin American rock, to Bizarrap, the star producer of streaming platforms, to Babasónico, a fundamental band that has always proven to be at the forefront.
